QUEBRACHO COLORADO AND EUCALYPTUS

Environmental, forest and social management plan

Gallery

Unitán has been carrying out an ambitious forestation plan both in Quebracho Colorado and Eucalyptus (Cloeziana and other hybrids). To date, Unitán has almost 2,000 hectares forested with about 3,000,000 trees between the provinces of Chaco and Formosa.

Our commitment is to increase the forested area by 300 hectares per year. This will bring the total to 10,000,000 trees in a few years.

Unitán has also presented this project for the issuance of Carbon Credits (VCU), already in the certification stage, and will be the first Argentine company to issue Carbon Credits for afforestation of native species. This project involves fixing 330,000 tons of CO2.

In this Image Gallery you can see some of the preservation and reforestation processes that Unitán started thirty years ago.
