Tannic primers
UNITAN has developed high molecular weight natural extracts for anti-corrosion treatments and oxide converters for metals.
The mechanism of action involves the reaction of the tannins with the soluble iron salts forming very sticky blue precipitates.
The ferric iron hexahydrate and the phenolic groups present in the condensed tannins form complex chelates.
The Prevox Line
It can also be used on carbon steels, galvanized steels and aluminum replacing products containing chromium, lead or zinc salts.
Prevox consist of aqueous solutions with a concentration of tannins of approximately 20% by weight; pH regulation and incorporation of additives to improve the wettability of the substrate.
