APPLICATIONS

Leathers treated with UNITAN CROWN ATS product present a pale pink-brownish surface colour, excellent fullness and weight yield, firm and leveled grain, ready for embossing and buffing.

This is the result of UNITAN CROWN ATS, partially treated insoluble organic particles, which make this extract highly recommended for retanning over vegetable or chrome tanning.

For pure or mixed but basically vegetable tanning processes, it is recommended to use, at the end of the process UNITAN CROWN ATS from 20% to 40% of the total vegetable extract offer.

For retanning processes UNITAN CROWN ATS may be applied following standard usage percentages, by itself or combined with other vegetable extracts or synthetic products.

  UNITAN CROWN ATD / Spraydried Extract

UNITAN CROWN ATD Quebracho extract is a semisoluble spraydried dedusted powder with an exceptionally pale colour. This vegetable extract is obtained from selected woods has been chemically treated to reduce and transform the inherent insolubles in a Natural Quebracho extract.

  LIGHTAN / Spraydried Extract

LIGHTAN is a spraydried vegetable retanning extract obtained by chemical and physical modification of the Natural Quebracho extract.

PROPERTIES

• Very pale red colour.

APPLICATIONS

Leathers treated with LIGHTAN present a light brownish-pink surface colour with a tight, smooth, leveled grain ready for buffing and embossing.

Its features make LIGHTAN perfect for retanning chrome tanned leathers when a soft and full grain is required, making a uniform dyeing effect and an easier finishing process.

For pure or mixed,but basically, vegetable tanning processes, it is recommended to use LIGHTAN from 30% to 60% of the total vegetable extract offer.

For retanning processes LIGHTAN may be applied following standard usage percentages, by itself or combined with other vegetable extracts or synthetic products.

  TEQUEBRAC P y L / Spraydried Extract

TEQUEBRAC P y L tanning extracts are Quebracho derivates enriched to be used either in rapid tannage processes (with short float or without it) or in traditional ones. The TEQUEBRAC P is specially formulated to be used in the first stage of vegetable tanning processes while TEQUEBRAC L is for retanning vegetable or chrome-vegetable leathers.

TEQUEBRAC P is recommended for a fast and total penetration of the leather in short bathing processes and even in absence of them.

  UNIQUE JR / Spraydried Extract

UNIQUE JR is a low astringency vegetal based pretanning agent that prepares hides for vegetal tanning. It also can be used as a auxiliary agent in wet blue retanning processes without neutralization or as a pretanned in metal free leather.

• Vegetable pretanning agent.

• Allows shaving leather before starting tanning process.

APPLICATIONS

UNIQUE JR is specially recommended as a pretanning agent in sole leather and vegetable "vachetta" production where an important tannin exhaustion as well as weight and thickness increase is required.

It is recommended to use 4 % to 6% after deliming/conditioning or pickeling processes. In highly vegetable retanning processes use 3% to 5% of UNIQUE JR on unneutralized leathers, half an hour before retanning process.

UNIQUE JR can be used alone or in combination with syntans or other vegetable products.

UNIQUE CHA is an acid blend of vegetable catequinic – pirogallic extracts specially formulated for tanning and retanning on vegetable tanning and chrome tanned leather.

UNIQUE CHD is a blend of vegetable extracts specially suitable for tanning/retanning vegetable and chrome tanned leather.

UNIQUE CHD can be used on vegetal tanning process alone or combined with another vegetal extracts.

On the retanning of chrome tanning leather can be obtain a very uniform and shinny dyeing effect and increase the pulish finishing effect.

  SUPERIOR ATO / Spraydried Extract

SUPERIOR ATO spraydried quebracho extract is a totally natural product also known as warm soluble extract.

Being a natural extract it has larger tannin molecules and better filling properties than any other vegetable extract.

It contains a percentage of insolubles (flovaphenes) which render suitable for use by those tanners having their own dissolving and solubilising facilities.

SUPERIOR ATO is a 100% Natural vegetable extract which contains cold–water insoluble organics components and it is advisable to solubilize them full/partially previous use.

  Ultrafine Tara Powder UNITAN TM / Block Extract

The Ultrafine Tara Powder UNITAN TM is a material source of tannins that come from the milling of the Tara pod (Caesalpinea Spinoza). The tannins that get UNITAN TM are pyrogallol and can be hydrolysed with acids and enzymes. The Tara produces a leather which can be more easily dyed with a particular light colour.

It is used for all kind of leather with vegetal or mixed vegetable characteristics to make upholstery, automotive and garment leather. It is also used to prepare dyeing ferric salts and as mordant of dyeing and printing of fabrics.

UNITAN TM is appropriate for vegetalized leathers that require a good light fastness. Together with adequate oils it is possible to obtain good fogging values.

WARNING

UNITAN TM is a product-sensitive iron salts, like all plant extracts. Therefore in all operations tanning and retanning contact with ferrous materials should be avoid. To improve the performance of the product is recommended to add small amounts of UNICLAR to the liquors to prevent stains, as well as the final bath wash removing hides and stacking with the wash water.
