Pellets Unitán has improved the efficiency of its boilers and has in this way achieved a surplus of exhausted chips that now can be channeled to the production of wood pellets. Pellet production is enlarged by using waste from nearby sawmills and other forestal activities, thus making an efficient use of the available biomass. Wood pellets are a clean source of energy able to replace fossil fuels due to its excellent thermal yield and being extremely easy to handle and use.
